Tully Lough Cross • c.8th-9th Century AD This is a rare example of an early altar cross. It is constructed of decorated tinned and gilt bronze sheets affixed to an oak wood core. The cross has a number of decorated bosses and panels that show a human figure flanked by beasts with gaping jaws.

The Moylough Belt Shrine • Sligo • c.8th Century This shrine was found in a Sligo bog and takes the form of a belt. Each of the plates enclosed a fragment of a simple leather belt that presumably belonged to an early saint. You can see it on display in the National Museum of Ireland
