I got a 1 day suspension in high school after a teacher called me “Blondie” and I replied “at least I have hair.” Anyway, I sent tulips to his funeral, signed the card “Blondie”. My dad got a phone call, it was well received. Stay notoriously sassy... for decades. 😆

Gunther is very serious about negotiations. I can’t even be mad that his paws are on counter. Look at this face. I am powerless. He does not regularly do this. Usually he is stealth in countertop acquisition. He snagged an entire pizza once and I questioned whether I actually had a pizza.

I went to Juneau. It was sunny! I even became besties with Charlie Kirk (Rep. Jamie Allard’s dog) and joined a winning trivia team. Very busy trip advocating for scholarship funding. Anyway- it was fun and I want to go back! Juneau is more civilized than Fairbanks.

I woke up feeling so loved this morning. My 24yo daughter crawled into bed with me to cuddle (she leaves Sun). Then Gunther dog had to snuggle in too. I didn’t really sleep well, but have nowhere to be today and their comfortable twitchy dreams were worth the sleeplessness.

I have really connected with artists this trip. I’m talking, hugs, tears, time and friendships that I intend to keep. There was Robert Bakama recycled textile embroidery artist too. His work was upwards of $30k and is visually stunning. I want to get him to Alaska for summer arts festival.

Like mother, like daughter. This cub is 1 year and 11 months old and will be sticking around for another 6 months at least before venturing off on her own. They both look to be in good shape and I hope they have good luck on the ice once Hudson Bay freezes. #BearSeason2025 #Mammals 🌿
