I had filed my request for many extra innings tonight and my request was granted. Wonder who will pitch on Sunday against our Jays?

Hadn't watched baseball in years until last fall when my parents moved in. This season has been wonderful watching the #BlueJays. Was feeling a little worried but today felt like the Jays team I've been cheering for all year. Glad to see them looking themselves again.

I keep hearing a wee kitten crying outside but I can't find it, it stops when I go outside plus the sound dynamics are weird around my house, things often sound like they are in my back yard when they are in my neighbor's yard etc. Best way to find a wee baby stray cat anyone?

Today I give you camouflage cat and cuddle cat. I almost sat on camo cat later that same day.

Here is Black Cat with her chonky belly up to the air, 'hugging' the cat toy that she will either continue to just hug for a while before abandoning this lounging post by the stairs or start to viciously assault from this same belly up pose.

Today I register a victory over the badly manufactured a frame clothes hanger rack that I got for the closet. I beat the bad packaging/instruction combo (I think). I beat the bad threading. Sadly I'm fairly sure it will have the final victory when I hang one too many things on its junky frame.

So, GPS apparently has rendered people unable to read street signs (it is bad for my house so all the delivery drivers get lost). This is why I have no trouble believing those studies that show chatGPT ruins critical thinking skills.

I love your Mercenary Librarians books and am happy to send a shout out for them. I love the hope inherent in them, that good people can make a difference even in a dystopia.

I just saw the luckiest Richardson's Ground Squirrel ever. It dashed and skittered onto the road (3 lanes). It dashed into the lane where everyone was driving. Not one, but two cars passed overtop of it before it dashed over to the final lane of its crossing where it wagged its tail as I passed.

Sad #Brier moments as all the teams I was cheering for are now out. Watching curling makes me wish I'd kept curling. I used to have this three finger broom that I could make the whole rink thunder with. I love the idea of the physics of the new brooms but I miss that resounding thwap of old.

#Caturday - Black Cat took over the chair, which is usually Orange Cat's domain.

Mom just fried herself some eggs (in butter). That smell is so appealing I just want to go make some too. But ALSO yesterday was chicken and dressing so I just finished eating leftovers. Too many delicious things. A great thing to be thankful for and to recognize just how lucky I am.

I got a hold for consideration for one of my stories. Can't deny some of the joy of getting one of those is gone. So far for me they've all just resulted in slow rejections. Crossing my fingers I'll finally get one to turn into an acceptance.

I've seen a commercial for a show on BritBox that has a big silvery box in some woods on it but I can't remember the name of the show. Anyone know?
