When ordering an artistic liberty suit it is totally ok to go "hey I really like this other fursuit you did, can you make me one like it?" which is exactly the case with our peacock colored friend here, same wings, tail, ears, head base, use of printed fur and real feathers, just different colors

Bird fursuits, how anthro do we like them? Not at all? More of a man-bird? Or someplace in the middle?

I do a lot of big/complex things but it nice to go "back to basics" from time to time, this one ended up being an experiment of my "painterly" nature combined with more "modern" toony shapes (achieved with the acquired base as tbh I feel like I've not quite wrapped my head around said shapes lol)

I wish I had more photos of this 2 person Princess Mononoke cosplay that I made 20 years ago, cellphone cameras were not exactly a thing back then, nor was social media, so the numbers of photos to be found online after an event were far and few between, I only ever found two.

Custom orders (where you have a set in stone design) are only open one week a year and I only choose five to ten new custom clients at that time. So the most sure way to get a fursuit costume from me is to opt for artistic liberty :)

I have taken a couple of artistic liberty raptor orders in the past, but they all had a fantasy element to them, this is my first time taking a crack at making an "actual critter" of a dinosaur, how did I do?

K folks, how'd do? (the only thing I could alter about the shape was to chubby up the cheeks, she then got a trim of the eyebrow ridge to make it as small as I could, added some blush, and eyelash extensions taken to the max, and then why not add some frost flowers)

some big ol peepers painted up with some metallics and a touch of "dragonfly glaze" color shift shimmer paint that has metallic powder in it that goes from gold to orange to red to purple depending on the angle of the light 👀

This is certainly a color palette that I would have never chosen had I not seen that spotted faux fur, I mean, what a combination right? Dusty rose, bluish purple, mango, and of all things, chartreuse?? but boy did I end up loving this color combo

My art lib knit plush seahorse client might have to withdraw their commission slot if anyone would like to scoop up the idea? I have a whole bin of marigold faux knit fabrics and chunky yarn ready and waiting, it would be in a similar vein as these but was gonna have black beads for eyes not buttons

Not every artistic liberty project gets a drawing first, but when it does sometimes it gets a fairly extensive one like these, but note how there are still differences between the sketch vs the outcome, the nice thing about art lib projects is that they have the freedom to evolve as they see fit ♥️
