Late last fall, we sent over 1000 hair samples – a year of hard work by the grizzly bear team – to the lab. But we were holding our breath for one sample in particular: a bear of the size and colour typical of grizzly bears and head features that looked more like a black bear's.

Let's check in with the grizzly bear crew for #FieldworkFriday. A family of black bears visited this hair snag site and left a record number of hair samples while romping around. Emma did a stellar job keeping every sample organized and resetting the site, so it's ready for more visitors!

It's time for another guess the bear; this one even tricked some of our biologists! Before we sent its hair off to the lab for DNA sequencing, we made our guesses. Before we reveal the answer, see if you can figure it out. We'll post the answer in a week! #trailcamtuesday
