7 days. It’s been seven days since my little Peanut suddenly died, and my heart is still shattered in 1000 pueces.

My sweet little Peanut passed two days ago and my tears still fall like rain. He rests now under a big oak overlooking the pond.

As I was leaving my job in March as one of many released in a massive corporate RIF, I told my immediate supervisor that in his community charitable org they should start now with finding a suitable place to put a community garden. It will be needed. I hope they did.

I look at what’s happening in this country, and I just want to load up my dogs and ponies and, somehow, find us a place that hasn’t gone insane.

Just sharing a butterfly. I haven’t seen quite as many as I’d like, so I plan to rather aggressively add more plants to help support them.

Monarch butterflies still find a viable ecosystem for them thanks to Tennessee State Park Seven Islands outside Knoxville. If only we had more yards, fields and pastures not sprayed with herbicides and pesticides.
