Last night, Climate United & other GGRF awardees filed a rehearing petition, appealing the recent decision from a three-judge panel of the D.C. Circuit Court. The petition argues that the panel erred in its ruling by dismissing Constitutional and APA claims, which warrants review by the full court.

‼️ UPDATE: Late yesterday, both EPA and Citibank appealed Judge Chutkan's order. The Court of Appeals has now ordered an administrative stay, pausing access to our accounts and preventing EPA from acting on their grant termination while they gain deeper understanding of the order.

🚨 BREAKING: A federal judge granted a preliminary injunction that prevents the EPA from acting on their unlawful termination of our grant agreement and orders Citibank to disperse funds for expenses incurred before the freeze.

This evening, a federal judge issued a temporary restraining order halting EPA from terminating Climate United’s award and providing a path forward to access our funds.

They have no evidence. We have real hard-working Americans and businesses counting on us for energy savings, jobs, and cleaner air and water.

This is the EPA’s latest attempt to unlawfully dismantle the congressionally appropriated National Clean Investment Fund. We remain focused on investing in projects that save Americans money, create jobs, and strengthen local communities.
