Good DDR session today. Finally passed New Millennium ESP and make good progress on some lower level charts 37 years old and still improving

Last five years have been rough mentally. Lots of new responsibilities and opportunities, but my work/life balance has never been worse. Need to hit a big reset moving forward.

I try not to get down on myself for not having the energy to be more creative on my off time, but it’s a struggle. The constant traveling and inability to just get into solid creative momentum has haunted me for years. Being at grassroots events like Climax may help heal the soul tho.

Spent today building a dresser, cleaning up the house, and finishing a first draft of my first Commander deck. Productivity!

Been having a good time in Tokyo. Seeing cool exhibits, eating good food. My actual vacation starts next week and I’m gonna try to actually step away from work for a bit as that’s long overdue

I want to grind fighting games again. Admittedly, covid really affected my enjoyment of playing as I very much need the social aspect and that wasn’t an option. Post lockdown, I’ve done nothing but lose myself in work and anything that wasn’t work was pushed aside.
