the way non-rum-people talk about rum confounds me -- "dark rum," "gold rum," and "white rum," as if color is flavor
but all whiskey is amber, and a bourbon is radically different than a peated scotch -- what matters is what it's made of and how it's distilled, not the color
and rum is the same!
