When I first started learning R, I was like yeah I don't really need to learn to make functions or For loops. My code isn't the cleanest, but it's not a huge factor. Now that I need many, many sub functions and nested for loops for the model I'm developing, I have some regrets 🙃

Came in early to start my LCMS run this morning because I couldn't sleep and we're out of multiple common lab reagents and standards because I was working from home for a week. This lab is 100% falling apart as soon as I leave, and after over a year preparing people for it, I don't care anymore

Left work early today to go to a concert about an hour and a half away from where we live and oooooo boy is the "I should be working" brain really going right now. I really don't know how I'm going to get myself to take breaks as the end of my thesis approaches.

It's midnight on a Sunday night. I thought I'd be done an hour ago. Instead, the lab manager shoved a sample loop into the LC injector so hard it took 20 minutes to get out, and now the auto sampler is shoving itself into a bar for reasons beyond me. Cannot express how over my thesis I currently am

I LIVED BITCH! Just finished up the last of my experiments! Still a TON of analytical work to do, as well as analysis, writing, and coding, but after endless issues kept pushing the start of the experiments back, I'm super pumped to be done!

In the continued adventures of being a homeowner, our kitchen sink just fell out and broke today, flooding downstairs. We now are at 1 broken car (currently in the shop), no hot water, no kitchen sink, and no drier. All while I'm basically working at least 10 hours every day of the week 🙃

FINALLY got the reviewer comments back on the manuscript! The first had none and the second had some very niche, minor questions that I feel like aren't really. Relevant? But it's nice to have some good news as the start of my experiments continues to get dragged out by system problems.

A decision was made on my paper which goes to the corresponding author (i.e. my advisor, who is currently backpacking in the outback for another two weeks). I'm behind on my experiments because someone messed up my system. FedEx delivered my parts late and they're stuck at receiving until Monday
