One week before the release of my game. I am both excited and terrified to finally show the full game to people. Like most of my other games, I put a lot of myself in it and it's always a great challenge to press that release button.

One thing that I'll always find difficult while making games, is to be able to stop working on a certain part and say to myself "Okay, that's good enough", instead of spending too much time trying to make it perfect.

10 days before the release of my game and the more I think about it, the more I'm fine with having a small launch. It's a very personal game and I do feel more comfortable having a small audience at first. I'll still try to market it a bit more until then, but I'm happy with how it's going!

If you see this kind of comment under a game on @itchio make sure to report it. I've censored the URL, it's always different (afaik) but malicious tricking people into thinking it's an updated version!

I'm not a huge fan of achievements in games in general, but I'll always love the one from The Stanley Parable where you need to not open the game for 5 years!

I realised that I'm pretty bad at marketing my game. It's not something that comes naturally to me. It's already a niche and weird game, so I know that getting thousands of wishlists before release won't happen. But I'm still excited about releasing it soon and I'll see where it goes from there.

One thing I love to see amongst game devs and indie devs, is when people use smaller tools to make games! The way their limitations forces you to be more creative and to experiment is great. And it's just more fun to use tools that are easier to learn, instead of engines that have so many options.

I don't know who needs to hear this right now, but to any indie devs feeling bad because their game didn't sell or wasn't played as much as you wanted: You still made a god damn video game. You did it, and that's harder than anything most people will do. I'm proud of you, you did great.
