Ordered some electronics components + a ps3 eye camera so I can take a shot at doing OpenTrack for IR head tracking in Elite Dangerous. Also can use the spare resistors/etc. for other projects (like that button box I'm working on).

Looks like Frontier successfully transitioned from a stumble into a tuck & roll with the recent patch. Hoping Operations fares well - I'm intending to check it out when I've got some free time and a decent-enough on-foot setup... or maybe use the Lynx for rescues.

Suddenly Elite Dangerous is like "Hey, wanna do 3 trips of bertrandite trades? Here's 50,000,000 credits" over and over. I gotta start doing it with large landing pads though - could use the clipper to handle it in single trips.

My internet is so flaky tonight. Tons of packet loss and upstream is rapidly fluctuating between like 1-5mbps at best when I should be getting at least like 14-20mbps on a decent day. Downstream is swinging between sub-50mbps and 850mbps or so. Tech should arrive Sunday morning.

As soon as my fucking internet cooperates, anyways.

It kinda sounds like the reason only the newer ships in Elite Dangerous support the upcoming Nomad SLV is probably due to the older ships' models not being set up to support it. I wonder if that's accurate. Looking in as a super casual player, it seems like Frontier doesn't update older ships.
