i wrote the master shader for the whole game. our artists created assets in SVG format, allowing for runtime colour remapping. this facilitated a time of day system without the need for separate sprites for each time. one sprite, 8 colour themes!

i made the character portrait system. each character was exported as separate pieces, which i pasted together at runtime. this allowed for easy animations like blinking and mouth movements. i also handled VFX for character portraits.

the game's "Grimoire" was how we handled scene changes and story beats. this was a ton of fun to put together, and included tech art staples like dynamic pages. runtime page textures are a tech artist's rite of passage really.
