One prob w/ publicly-traded tech co’s having 1, or 2 , or 3, or 4, or … gulp …5 trillion dollar valuations is, the obsession w/ growth-at-all-costs never stops, and the execs are still fully gung-ho to double the valuations at least. But how? Why? It’s not sustainable. The planet cannot cope.

I tried, really, but THE SHEEP DETECTIVES was not worth paying to see in a cinema. Had the same vibe of bent-note background music as the KNIVES OUT and other oh-isn’t-this-delightful-a-real-murder-mystery-oh-how-fun farces. Some might say this is their trough of tea; not even a cup for me. 🤷‍♂️

Misled. I’d ALWAYS mentally read and pronounced the word as “mild” as if “to misle” (to “mile”) was a verb, and “misled” was past tense. Then one day in college I had one of those galaxy-brain moments where I realized… OMG… you mean THAT is how you spell the word sounding like “miss led”?? 🤷‍♂️

It’s really starting to look like the day is coming soon when the internet and web as we’ve known them are flat-out gone, replaced by something far worse, and of course, AI-driven. FIUME O MORTE is a fascinating use of film to teach a story from history. For me, I’ll admit going in I knew none of this history. But the creative use of film, photographs, paintings, present-day shots, and involving the locals in reenactment scenes—wow. Incredibly effective instructional design.👍

FUZE, a new heist film, was a lot better than I expected it’d be, and also better than many critics said it was. Not genius, not Oscar material, not perfect, but perfectly good as an escapist popcorn flick. It’ll no doubt bomb at the box office. 🤷‍♂️🙄
