My newest boss fight as music designer and my 8th update since joining this time last year is now live. I also drove the music direction and presented the design to my team. Meet these two strong snakey women. ❤️ They’ll be part of my next reel. My new tech music teammate and I are very proud.

1st anniversary as an in-house Music Designer vs this time in 2016/17. Music experience leaks from my bones. Worked on 9 updates since Oct. and soloed 6 of them. The newest goes live, soon, and I’m so proud of our handiwork. Now, I need to finish my reel. Tired, emotional, proud. I did it, ma.

Also big ups to my family. They’ve been through it all with me. I wouldn’t be where I am today without their emotional support. Any sane family would’ve considered walking away from my previous career path in 2018 to be a dumb idea. But no, not this bunch. And here we are.

As time goes on, I feel like I’m going in the right direction.

I packed up my life and landed in a new city 1 year ago today. In that time I’ve: - Done a LOT of travelling. - Spoken at conferences. - Played on a Final Fantasy EP. - Became an MPSE member. - Been offered side-gigs. I plan to travel to France in the new year to decompress. Much love to all x

As my 1st anniversary as a music designer nears in a few weeks, I think of the dream jobs I let slip, and composers who took a chance on me over the past decade. Thank you all. I’ve shipped 7 game patches since January, soloed 4, and worked on a narrative title. Let’s see what 2026 brings x

I spent the evening getting a friend physically out of a DV situation. Men, true masculinity doesn’t mean being feared. It means being safe to be around and is absent of hubris and chauvinism. You may not ever raise a hand but if she’s walking on eggshells or relieved when you leave, you’re a POS.

Tried to connect my buddy here to Wwise to use the cc params but no luck, for many reasons. Might film a Wwise tutorial using a fresh project, as soon as I find a UE5 build I can use as an example to drive code params. Has computer science grad Helen finally come out of hibernation?

I *always* dress-up for work; the way I present myself is a mark of respect for the company I keep. It also subconsciously affects the way one is perceived. However, I can’t resist my new hoodie for today. Brownie points if you know the game. Love to @insertcoin.bsky.social, as I dress this up.
