"During these hot summer months, our office has been without AC. It’s been broken since the summer began. Even though it sometimes feels like 100 degrees in the office, management has hesitated to replace the AC system. It’s not a priority for them."

Airport service workers, whether baggage handlers or others on the tarmac, have reported facing vicious heat at work! Linda Ressler, a cabin cleaner in Phoenix, told OSHA she was given no breaks and asked not to bring water on the plane even during extremely hot temperatures.

"Twice this summer I've gotten sick from the extreme heat with dizziness & lightheadedness. It's even hotter in the warehouse where I also have to work parts of the day. The warehouse is entirely metal on the outside like a furnace. It insulates the heat."

No one should risk their life for a paycheck, yet AGI workers, often who are Black, latine, and AAPI, are exposed to the nation’s deadliest weather: extreme heat. They need AC, water, rest breaks, fair pay, and a voice on the job. Demand AGI protects workers over profit.
