This appears to be the arithmetic: A: "Iran has killed at least X" B: "Trump has killed Y" If B < A (including if B = A - 1), then to criticise Trump is morally indefensible. In other words, killing is not wrong so long as it can be presented as being at least 1 fewer than one's enemy's.
