Good morning Blue Sky peeps! Happy #MushroomMonday! This happens to be right in my backyard!

@justagirl52.bsky.social Yesterday I got my knee to a 94° bend on my own. And I got it to a -3 on the straightening part. Only three more points to flat zero! She said I was a bit ahead of the game, so that’s good news . And I got my bandage off. No sutures here -only glue.

I got my new knee. It’s titanium. All I can think about is Lieutenant Dan saying “magic legs” … it was outpatient surgery and right back home about five hours later. And I walked out of the surgery center. Isn’t that amazing?

Well, it’s total knee replacement Tuesday, y’all!

@justagirl52.bsky.social My friend Angela, who keeps finding all of the birds nest fungus in her mulch, brought me this little container. At first, I thought it was something for breakfast. Then when I took the lid off, I saw. I brought it home and grafted it into my mulch.

Happy #MushroomMonday y’all! It’s raining again here today! We’re getting between two and four rains per week. So rare for July and August! Incidentally, it feels like the Amazon.

Today would be my dad‘s 96th birthday. Summer was totally his jam! I still miss all the things we used to do, of course. Happy birthday from the other side, Dad! 🍻💜

Went to a favorite spot on Monday only to find five or 6 pounds of soggy, slimy, mushy morels. I’ve had all kinds of disappointment mushroom hunting, but never have I had to leave so many mushrooms on the ground. Seriously for every good one, I found 10 bad ones. 🤬😢 @justagirl52.bsky.social

So it’s April 20. It is my mom‘s birthday and Easter Sunday. Her birthday has fallen on Easter many times in my life. Happy birthday mom! I miss you. This photo was her 80th birthday. That was 10 years ago! Unbelievable.

This is my new view! As in we moved! It may be chilly and raining, but it’s beautiful. And I am grateful.
