I awoke this morning at 4:30 a.m., completed morning chores and went to our local grocery at 8:00 a.m. to avoid the heat. I haven't purchased beef in over a year, because look at the prices and the $7.39/# ground chuck is so nasty!

I just completed a thorough eye exam and I do need new glasses! Good news: no Glaucoma or Macular Degeneration. But, I do have very early signs of cataracts. Ugh. No insurance or Medicare, so I'll have to deal with that when the time comes. $$$ New glasses next week!

Well...the Trane System needed a new compasator (sp??) (whatever the hell that is) & is now cooling the house slowly because it's 95° outside & 84° inside, and gee it <only> cost me $439.00... choke 😳😲😬 He said they usually only last 5 years... my unit is 17 years old, so there's that. Trane rocks!

Trying to stay cool. My Central air is not cooling properly and the HAVAC guy should be here soon to fix the problem...hopefully! Meanwhile fans are helping.

After I mentioned that I Iove my central air...it partially stopped overnight! It's still cooling, but not to the setting of 78°. It's currently 81° in my house and 92°F outside. So I broke out two fans and will wait for the local HAVAC guy to come. Oy vey!
