My son sent them. They are coffee beans from the farm in Hawaii they visited recently. 🤎

I just received a package, delivered to me, by a stranger who lives way up near the northern area of my County where FedEx dropped it at her house. She drove all the way here to make sure I received this package. It contained two 12oz bags of Hawaiian coffee beans! No note, no clue who sent them! 🤔

More spring tree blossoms are now appearing! My wild apple, pink and white crabapples, and red buds are now budded creating that purple haze throughout the county.

Lunch... ground chicken breast patty topped with horse radish & mayonnaise, deviled dill weed eggs, seedless cucumbers with homemade hummus with red pepper. Plus a five bean salad.

I picked more daffodils this afternoon to enjoy indoors. They smell so so amazing and they won't be viable much longer!

The 15 bean soup came together perfectly. The smoked Ham hocks were meaty and added the needed flavor. Yum!

Awoke early at 3:30 a.m. & decided to make some Hummus with garlic, red pepper & oregano. Also prepped ingredients for a 15 bean soup that includes chopped onion, minced garlic, bay leaves, lemon juice, 2 tomatoes, chili powder, red pepper flakes & diced tomatoes. The dry beans need to still soak.

I brought this deep pink Hyacinth blooming stalk inside to enjoy it's amazing scent and color. I'm glad the squirrels don't dig up the bulbs to eat and that deer leave them alone.

I made a healthy lunch...tuna salad with lime 🍋‍🟩 zest & dill served inside of half a pita with spring mix lettuce 🥬, plus a sliced avocado 🥑 on the side.

Gas prices continue to increase. It's now $4.25/gal. here, today. That's an increase of $1.30/gal. since the pre-war price of $2.94!

Food prices are continuing to rise. Fortunately, none of the items I took random photos of today, while at the grocery, are things that I purchase. I buy locally roasted coffee beans that are $15.99/#. They have increased by $5.00, but he increased the bag weight from 12 oz. to 16 oz.

My early afternoon foraging yielded young, tender, yet very invasive Garlic mustard (Alliaria petiolata) & Meadow garlic (Allium canadense). Garlic mustard: pull the entire plant, bag up including roots, separate & wash tender leaves. Place the roots into bagged trash to help stop their spread.

Early dinner/late lunch today... Spring mix salad, hot wings, a baked potato with cheddar cheese and a wedge of roasted cabbage with a pepper sauce.
