35 years ago today Phish played Gumbo for the first time at the Chance in Poughkeepsie. While that song stuck around, 9/28/90 also has the only known cover of Duke Ellington's Black and Tan Fantasy. Being located in the Poughkeepsie area definitely made Phish easy to follow in this era. (1/2)

So in good news, I got my running up to over 2 miles at a stretch last week and was about to sign up for a 5k. In bad news, 1/3 of a mile into last Saturday's run I felt some soreness in the back of my right leg. I can walk but it hurts whenever I start running.

It’s September. The Mariners are doing well. The Seahawks are 3-1. And yet there’s not one game i care about for 8 days. I broke myself out of a bad headspace by hyper focusing on the M’s winning streak so it’s so weird to just be “eh. Mariners’ game. Ping me when Cal is up.”

This 60th homer story is so sweet. Cal Raleigh's homer was caught by a fan who handed it to a kid. The Mariners managed to find the fan and he was given a photo op with the Dumper and a very personalized signed bat. As someone who has a framed clipboard from Phish, I know how cool that is.

I figure even if Raleigh doesn't win the MVP, Seattle Mariners' fans - especially the 43k in person last night - will have a forever memory of the Big Dumper hitting #59 to give the lead in the clinching game and #60 to seal it. We still win here!

Phish Stats should be fully functional again. It was a weird edge case where I got some bad data that threw off some automation which caused script to go into a death cycle. Never happened before. Let me know if things are still not working.

Update (not good): My ISP has decided that the same scripts that have been on my website for 29 years with no issues are now untrustworthy. I will not be able to talk with them until Mon but most of the site's functionality has been disabled. I don't understand why but it might be down for a while.

Still taking a break but I'm aware that Phish Stats is down and it's likely to be down all weekend. I'll log in again if there are updates.

And with that, I’m signing out for a while until such a time when I’m fit to be around other people even in an online setting. If I don’t return, it was a fun few years here but I’m sure I’ll get bored eventually.
