Wouldn't call myself a Thibs apologist but was a big fan of his and what he did for the #Knicks. Got a raw deal getting fired. Never been a Mike Brown fan and thought he was a bad fit, tends to lose his players quickly. That may be happening now. Players look disengaged and disconnected. #NBA

Waited 2 months to see some more games and this has held true. The #Knicks feel lost right now and moreso, disengaged and disconnected. Brown's motion/movement offense hasn't taken and the defense has dropped off significantly. They don't seem to be good at any one thing at the moment. #NBA

Great article here about the #Suns and where they're at right now. Things will get tougher with the upcoming schedule but they're back on the right track a lot quicker than most thought.

Feels like the #Knicks have slowly chipped away at an identity (Thibs, Ju, DDV) that made them different and dangerous. Now they're trying to be an uptempo, skilled finesse team but don't really have the roster for it? If they can't out-tough teams and can't run and shoot, then what are they?

So the news is that Nico's set to get fired today. That may seem like accountability but is it? He moves on, probably gets another high paying exec job somewhere but leaves the franchise is purgatory and the fans and remaining staff have to deal with his decision for the next 10 years? #Mavs #NBA

Beal is back in Phoenix with the #Clippers. Not sure what the reception will be...hope it's not too rough with the boos. I was as frustrated as anyone with him but he didn't force his way to the #Suns and all he did was what he's always done. I'd rather see Suns fans ignore him TBH.

Good stuff here and agree w/a lot of it. Oso's a tweener with no semblance of a jumper. I want him to work tho. I wish Ott would use him more in PnR as a roller or even on-ball in PnR. Also wish we could see him as a 4 next to a stretch 5 but we don't have that 5. #Suns

The #Knicks are a veteran team that's won, they're battle hardened and know success. They're not a younger team needing to be coached up or a team needing a foundation. That's a big challenge for Brown IMO. This was always going to be a tricky situation with the possibility of going sideways.

It's still early but as a famous man once said "It can get late, early" so the #Knicks need to be careful. They can't expect it to just happen but they can't press. And Brown has to convince them his way will work otherwise he'll lose the players and that's a wrap.

Not a good showing last night against the #Bulls. Still only 5 games in, Mike Brown wasn't going to wave a magic wand and turn the #Knicks into the 2017 Warriors. Can the players fit the system? Should the coach adjust to the players? The Knicks are trying to reinvent themselves, ain't easy

Obviously there are going to be growing pains implementing a new system after 4-5 years of Thibs. But concerns are there - do the #Knicks have the roster for that play style? Are the players going to buy-in and work thru the adversity? Fans are fans and want everything to go smoothly....

A little salty about the #Suns L last night. Wonder Boy Ott sticking with that starting lineup put the team in the hole to start, then kept the same lineup to start the 3rd. Too undersized against that giant frontline.

RE: The #Suns - liked what I saw in preseason. MUCH better than anything we saw the past 2 years in terms of effort, hustle, defense and offensive movement and spacing. The effort will win us games alone. I think Book will be on a revenge tour this season.

Generally, I'm not sure I'm buying the contender status just because of Mike Brown.

Tough for me to say how the #Knicks will do this year. My gut says it'll be rocky at times (when isn't it) and while the offense might look better I think the defense drops off. Can they form a new identity? Do they have the roster for it? Also see the #Magic and #Pistons getting better.

I think it was an uphill battle for Butler anyway. Goodwin's size and defense probably works better with the current crop of guards on the roster. His offense looks smoother than the last time he was in PHX as well. Liked Butler coming out of college tho, he's an NBA player for sure IMO. #Suns

Nice recap here. I'd call this one a "character" win. #Suns were down big in the 1st half but kept with it, weathered the storm and were able to gut out the W. Still like the way we played overall, especially keeping the defense and energy up even when the shots weren't falling.

I do believe Giannis has his eyes set on NY tho. But I wouldn't discount Miami down the line because they're always in the mix with stars and have been managing the cap to get a guy like Giannis.

Not sure what the Knicks can offer aside from OG/Mikal and Mitch + limited picks. Offering KAT would likely get the Bucks to listen and the Knicks obv want to pair them. Riskier move IMO would've been holding off on a KAT trade, extending Randle and hoping he'd be a starting point for a deal.
