So what this is saying is that the Sask govt could easily afford to add more treatment spots if they wanted. But they are instead saving these spaces for involuntary treatment. These contracts will go to for profit agencies who don’t have the patients best interest in mind

Happy to hear the conviction will be in abeyance until this moves through Supreme Court. Glad Justice Murray recognized that these two had noble intentions of saving lives (something elected leaders are reluctant to do). She was bound by the law as written. But this isn’t over!

Very disappointing to hear- Jeremy and Eris were brave enough to do what our elected leaders weren’t in order to save lives, and now will be punished for it. Sad day, but now at least they can run this up to Supreme Court of Canada.

If the challenge is successful, it would not be the first time a Sask Party gov’t loses at supreme court after trying to trample on people’s rights
