Safer, cleaner skies are a must. ✈️ At the Paris Air Show, I met with stakeholders & industry representatives to see how we can enhance cooperation to ensure that passengers continue to travel safely and to move the aviation industry toward decarbonisation, while maintaining a competitive market.

A busy – but great – day for me at the UITP Summit Hamburg 2025 discussing public transport earlier this week! 📍 First, an informative exchange with UITP’s European members representing public transport authorities on their expectations of the Commission before the end of the current mandate.

I’m delighted to be in Chisinau for the second EU-Moldova Transport Dialogue alongside 🇲🇩 Deputy Prime Minister & Minister of Infrastructure & Regional Development Vladimir Bolea. We discussed the development of our transport relations, including building on the success of the 🇪🇺🇺🇦 #SolidarityLanes.

Fruitful exchanges with European Member States and industry representatives from European and Moldovan transport & logistic companies. Transport is a crucial element of Moldova’s path to EU integration and will support further economic growth and connectivity with the EU.

In Singapore, EU companies are driving the global transition toward sustainable transport fuels. I visited Vopak and NESTE’s innovation centre, where they run the world’s largest #SAF production plant and facilitated the first use of ammonia as a marine fuel.

It’s been at the forefront of everyone’s mind: defence. And how can we strengthen Europe’s ability to defend itself without investing in transport infrastructure? We need a functioning 🇪🇺 wide military mobility network by 2030 – to guarantee the fast transport of troops and military equipment.

It was good to see both new & familiar faces at the Waterborne Days! 😄 I’m glad waterborne transport is getting the attention it deserves. Waterborne transport and the shipbuilding sector are not just industries – they’re strategic pillars that uphold Europe’s autonomy & prosperity.

2025 marks 11 years of the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) - a critical funding instrument moving Europe towards its decarbonisation targets for 2030 & 2050. Key achievements include more than €32 billion to support 🇪🇺 railway infrastructure and 7,500km of 🛤️ lines constructed or upgraded.
