Der Verein Arche Noah hat in Österreich 17 Obstsammlungen durch Blattproben genetisch analysiert und insgesamt 2.506 Obstsorten (Äpfel, Birnen, Zwetschgen, Kirschen, Weichseln, Marillen und Pfirsich) gefunden. Das ist die erste umfassende Obst-Inventur in Österreich.
