In Monday’s book-focused assemblies, we share a love of reading linked to science, school learning, current events – or sometimes just for the joy of a great book! 📚✨

Year 6 are thoroughly enjoying their new class reader Crater Lake by Jennifer Killick. 📖✨ They have dedicated daily timetabled time to read and enjoy it together — it’s got pride of place in the classroom!

Two soon-to-be secondary teachers walked into our school this morning… not the start of a joke, but the start of their journey into teaching! By happy coincidence, they’re on the same course, live locally, and both needed a week in a Year 5/6 class before they begin.

Each of our year groups have reading spines and recommended reads to guide both children and parents to high quality texts that they may enjoy as stand alone texts or that link to our curriculum learning.

Our learning & development room ‘The Greenhouse’, our offices and many of our classrooms & corridors are full of plants. Over the summer holidays, the plants come home with us for their own holiday. My house has looked fantastic but it’s now time for them to return home tomorrow. #backtoschool

Evening all Insight schools. Once you import KS2 results tomorrow you can view them alongside EYFSP, phonics, MTC and KS1 (if you do them) in the statutory assessment report. If you don’t use Insight, we’ll publish a link to a webpage with headline data.

It’s KS2 results day tomorrow. If anyone has any questions about accountability measures, which pupils are included and which ones aren’t, and how things are calculated, please do ask. I’ll be around all day.
