Tonight: Public Works will deploy heavy equipment to remove large piles of snow from 10 p.m. - 5 a.m., helping to clear routes and create more space at key intersections. Deeply grateful for our city teams who have been working nonstop to keep residents safe before, during, and after this storm.

Idling your car with a blocked tailpipe can be deadly. Clear snow and ice from around your car's exhaust before starting the engine. Do not let children or pets sit in an idling car while you shovel.

After the eighth-largest Boston snowfall on record (23 inches!), the work hasn't stopped for our dedicated Public Works team. Crews are back at it today using equipment to clear intersections and curb ramps and widen streets. When cleaning off your car, please don’t leave snow on the street.
