Spent today revising the Clitty Teller covers by making the background two tone, polishing up the image, changing the font and layout and adding a tagline Kinda like them

Mistakes was made when I wrote BINGO CUSTARD I think, on reflection, I got the balance just a tad wrong With LIVE LOVE LAUGH DIE! I think I have the balance just where it needs to be

If you read BINGO CUSTARD and fell in love with Clitty Teller then with LIVE LOVE LAUGH DIE! you will love her even more and want to marry her

I had 3 rules when writing Clitty Teller It had to be ridiculously British It’s a pastiche and not a parody of Bond & 1960s pulp spy novels Clitty is not the idealised competent woman in a male dominated genre She instead represents a real woman stuck inside the genre

It’s taken longer than I have anticipated but structurally LIVE LOVE LAUGH DIE! is now sound It’s been such a fun story to write Got to polish it up and then maybe I’ll let you read it

Working on v6 of Live Love Laugh Die has led me to want to do a very mini reboot of the Clitty Teller Universe Nothing major but if you did pick up a paperback version of Bingo Custard it will soon become a limited edition Which of course sounds cooler than it actually is

Been so busy writing I am so far behind my comic book reading I still think it’s 2023 Anyway - this looks fantastic and going on my pile of comics I will reward myself with reading

My Writing Process 1st draft - bare bones 2nd draft - the meat 3rd draft - the sweet beautiful draft 4th - 24th draft - yeh I’m gonna keep on going till I get bored

I am very happy with how LIVE LOVE LAUGH DIE has turned out I may not be happy tomorrow but I am happy now May release it soon

Although my Booksprout ARC campaign for Versions Of Her was not the most successful it has led to this rather lovely review And to have readers say the story stayed with him after finishing the book is the greatest compliment a writer could get

The key to writing the character of Clitty Teller is that she is not incompetent, she is in fact highly skilled but she is totally chaotic, which is where the humour and plot gets its energy from.

Three more chapters to go and the second draft of LIVE LOVE LAUGH DIE! - The 2nd Clitty Teller Adventure will be done Love doing the 2nd draft . It’s my favourite draft of all the redrafting you have to do

I read Versions of Her by @ofselina.com and, bloody hell, she's a talent. It's difficult, and incredible & unlike anything else I've read. It resonates, because it's about desire but not in the usual way; it's the painful ache that comes from wanting to be seen, and known, and to belong.

This is a yet another amazing comic book I got to get a sneak peak at Go now to your comic book vendor and demand (politely and respectively but still with the requisite urgency) that they pre order you a copy

My goal is to write enough Clitty Teller Adventures that I can put them in a paperback collection and emblazoned down the thick spine would be ‘CLITTY’, that would dominate a bookcase Should make for some interesting conversations at dinner parties
