I started Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth last night and played through all of Ch. 1 so far. I love how, when playing, I can vividly recall how certain scenes looked in OG FF7. Very much this:

That's three big games completed now over the past month: The Outer Worlds 2, Metro Exodus, and Avowed. I need to decide my next big game will be to distract me from life. Either: FF7 Rebirth Stalker 2 (which I put aside at launch after 14 hours to wait for patches) FF16 Avatar Or something else??

I completed Avowed tonight after like 30ish hours in total. It was merely "ok." I enjoyed The Outer Worlds 2 FAR, far more. There was so much about Avowed I just did not understand lore wise (never played Pillars of Eternity) though the built-in dictionary system helped somewhat.

Surely the powers that be will stop workers from illegally adding Trump's name to the Kennedy Center, yeah? Surely! It's not something the board can have changed. It's literally a federal statute. Surely our system will work this time! 🙃

Within 30 minutes of waking up today I was put into such a foul mood. It's going to be one of those days.

Playing through Avowed and I'm just so lost on a lot of the story/lore. I guess a lot of it would make far more sense if I ever played the Pillars of Eternity games, but I have not. But hey, I'm slaying evil creatures with (not) Garrus, so that's something.

It may have taken me almost six years, but I finally finished Metro Exodus. The wait was worth it. Played the Enhanced Edition this time. Looked great. Ran great. Had some weirdness with overlapping voice lines and gear/guns not synced up properly with the hands that should be holding them.

Considered playing through Yakuza 0 again when the Director's Cut dropped but man... reading some of the critical plot points that they retconned in the DC is just aggravating. A couple retcons completely undermine the catalysts for both Kiryu and Majima's main plots. Just tosses them right out.

Thinking about what game I want to jump into next now that I've finished Dying Light: The Beast and Outer Worlds 2 over the past week. Between Avowed or Metro Exodus, which I dropped years ago after a literal bug got physics glitched into my character and made a never ending audio issue.

The Outer Worlds 2 is finished! 48 hours. Somehow only 50% achievements. I really, really loved it. I feel like I got a very good ending. No idea if it was the best. But... Speech at 20 sure put in some work. IYKYK. Already looking forward to a second go in the future.

Is it bad that I'm not yet finished with my current Outer Worlds 2 playthrough and have already been thinking of what I want to build into for some future replay of the game (whenever that may be)? Thinking maybe... Engineering, Science, Hack, and Melee as the top 4 for the next go.
