The frontal section of these gold bases upper and lower dentures is set with human teeth. It is possible that these are 'Waterloo teeth' extracted from cadavers after the Battle of Waterloo. You can read more about Waterloo teeth over on our blog:

This dental phantom was made around 1900 for dental students to practice their skills before treating real patients. A hat-maker’s dummy has been added to represent the head of the patient. The jaws contain removable brass teeth allowing various dental procedures to be practiced. (RCSIC/Z 149)

“Wound Man” is an illustration which first appeared in European surgical texts during the Middle Ages. It laid out schematically the various wounds a person might suffer in battle or in accidents, with accompanying text stating treatments. It's Friday! Tag yourself as a wound.

The monument to Henry Willoughby in the church of St Leonard in Wollaton, Nottingham has a depiction of him as a cadaver on the lower level. This is known as a transi tomb, and it was considered a way to show humility - even though such monuments were hugely expensive. Willoughby died in 1528.

Vaginal speculum (c.1820) used to apply leeches to a woman’s cervix to remove excess blood, which doctors believed caused localized afflictions such as tumors or inflammation. This speculum used a scissor-like action to expand. It locked open, freeing the physician’s hands to apply the leeches.

An anatomical model made from papier-mâché, but not from the Auzoux workshop! This one was part of a series dissecting the head and neck that were made in Edinburgh between 1893 and 1927 by Archibald Young and Sons, surgical instrument makers.

A wax model showing a chancre in the tongue. A chancre is the first sign of syphilis, and appears at the point where the spirochète enters the body. Moulage like this would be used to teach about the appearances of disease.

The hand of Old Croghan Man, a 2000-year-old bog body that has been naturally mummified in a peat bog. The man's apparently manicured nails led to speculation that he was not someone who engaged in manual labour. Based off the man's arm span, he stood approximately 6'6'' tall.

This painting by Charles Bell shows injuries sustained by a soldier at the Battle of Corunna. The soldier was struck in the head by a musket ball, causing several fractures in the skull. Despite the severe appearance of the injury the soldier recovered well.
