📢 New paper out! We calibrated and evaluated MET models for walking and jogging using the Move 4 wearable on the ankle and thigh — with strong agreement vs indirect calorimetry (gold-standard). Great progress for high-resolution energy-expenditure estimation using Move 4 accelerometers 👏 #Wearables

💭How to be #transparent and #fair in large collaborative review processes regarding authorship? We adressed this in our present review (>200 included studies and 24 scientists involved) and developed a weighted scoring system based on the time required for different tasks to fairly credit workloads.

🎯 Testing the accuracy of 21 #algorithms for estimating sedentary time with wrist-worn #wearables revealed only 5 (24%) were within 10% of the gold standard. Two machine learning 🤖 and three posture-based cut-points performed best. Great contribution to identify precise algorithms for wearable data!
