Nice to finally lay my Cypriot bogey bird to rest - Trumpeter Finch - a rare but regular vagrant (most years). Even better to see it land next to a Bimaculated Lark! Great to also see the wintering Desert Finch again after a few months #cyprusbirds

Between checking our Cyprus-touring @travel_wildlife group in to Paphos airport yesterday, and going through security for the flight, @WildlifePrecey and I had time to march along to Timi Beach to tick Bimaculated Lark, with a side-order of Trumpeter Finch. Rubbish photos, but much excitement!

when the garden is home to 2 Semicollared and 3 Collared Flycatchers, Wood Warbler and Great Reed Warbler, Cyprus and Isabelline Wheatear, it's hard to tear yourself away... but glad we did, to enjoy the Little Crakes and Great Spotted Cuckoos around Agia Varvara today #CyprusBirds

Cyprus Wheatear is a Cypriot breeding endemic, but they sometimes overshoot on spring migration to appear in small numbers in southern Türkiye. This one was at Manavgat this morning. #Birds

Enjoying my morning strolls and bumping into a few of these beauties each morning. Across 3 visits to Greco I've seen the following sylvia warblers (all well): eastern subalpine; ruppell's; eastern orphean; cyprus; sardian; spectacled; lesser whitethroat; whitethroat & blackcap. #cyprusbirds.
