I sure do like roleplaying games. “The Rainy City” creator by night, Duolingo employee by day.

Thank you again for The Fantasy Trip! We played it in the heart of pandemic quarantine with our three oldest kids, and now we’re playing it with number Child #4. (Four is enough. You won’t get more kids for your game from us. It’s someone else’s turn.)

In addition to fishin' for reposts and sign-ups to the pre-launch mailing list, I'm also on the hunt for artists. I'd especially like to commission transgender folks, folks of color, and members of the LGBTQIA2S+ communities.

Newly re-established Department for the Maintenance of Grounds, Bounds, and Hedges in the Headlands of the Rainy City had a curious first day of work tonight. We had to deal with a fey spirit called the Thumbcutter who was causing trouble near the Fugger-Papenheim estate. Better not suck your thumb!

Today I'm working on the Forerunner, an extended playbook for AW:Burned Over, where you play from the beginning of the apocalypse instead of starting 50 years later. If you're playing Forerunners, everyone is. You play to find out which playbooks you'll change to. It's coming together super well.

It's spooky season, and what's spookier than the haunted streets of Doskvol? Probably a good time for me to release my expansion supplement for Blades in the Dark, right? Announcement coming soon. Keep your eyes peeled and your blades sharp. ;)

The year has withered to pale grass that none will ever cut. Spirits that slept in the dappling of summer's sun now begin to wake, walk old paths. A wise witch knows that the song of harvest always contains voices no longer at the feast. –
