I like to do these blind, so I don't know the cube contents. 1v1 draft, I gotta assume both of our decks are going to be "bad." Concerned about them getting Opal+Retrofitter, but taking Retrofittter could get me blocked out of artifacts. Maybe I let them have it and take Preordain? 1/

Hmm... I like to do these blind so I haven't looked at the list. 1. I take JVP for fun, I just like that play pattern, although I suspect the correct answer is Winota. 2. To win *probably* Swords over Thoughtseize??? 3. Swords + Misty is tempting... I feel like that's good enough. Sure.

Thinking about "bad art is still art, not content or slop" with regards to the recent discourse around Magic: the Gathering. Consider this word-swap: "Magic isn't something we consume, Magic is something we do." Hmm... Might be on to something here...

Designing and curating a #MTGCube is the healthiest thing you can possibly do for your engagement with Magic. Ruling your own little domain of Magic that includes what you like and excludes what you don't will re-contextualize the way you look at spoilers, cards you own, and your LGS's stock.

WALL·E (2008) ★★★★★ This movie is brilliant. The amount of thought and emotion you can squeeze out of a movie with no real dialogue to speak of would revive a dying planet.

I'm not into having even more Universes Beyond discourse. Richard Garfield gave you the tools to enjoy Magic the way you want to. Stop catastrophizing. You're not helpless. Get to work. If you want to be rescued and not put in the work, that's on you. That's all there is to it.

PAW Patrol (2013) ★★ This isn't the worst kids show, but it's not very good. I don't really know why it's such a juggernaut. Puppies, I guess? If you can avoid it for as long as possible, I would.

People just *play Commander,* but people don't just *play Standard,* or really any other 60-card format. Why is that? For us 60-card aficionados, there are lessons to learn, and I think this is where we start revitalizing competitive play.

100 Black Lotuses, huh... I think it's gotta be Timetwister. *One* Lotus makes Timetwister incredible in regular vintage cube. This seems egregious.

And that brings me to the third point. The conservative tendencies of Magic players. Which is weird as we are relatively liberal (using the idiotic terms of US political debate). And yet when it comes to the game, Magic players love embracing the right wing rhetoric. 11/

Never played it, not familiar with the list... Victimize is powerful, since there's another reanimate here, it's likely supported. Go for the Throat is 100% to make my deck. Serra Paragon and Moon Circuit Hacker are nice... I think I'll Victimize here, highest upside.

I always love hearing Richard Garfield (and BDM too.) I get a lot of inspiration from his mantra that players should take control of their play experience. Magic is such a fantastic medium for creativity, and the depth and breadth of possible games to play is staggering.

Ratatouille (2007) ★★★★½ A classic. If at this point you haven't already, go watch it.
