In 1949, Japanese manufacturer JICO pivoted from sewing needles to turntable needles. After a shift to VHS and CD cleaning products in the 80s, JICO reinvested in needles in the 2000s, years before vinyl’s comeback and the online retail boom.

Double release of IFS MA legendary album “REIFSMA” and remix version. The color palette in the cover design of the debut album has been refreshed and unified with the cover design of REIFSMA REMIXED. You can order the tapes now on Bandcamp.

In 2024, seven tapes were released. The outlines label released another groove series, featuring drummers' interpretations of footwork and club music. Guides, in turn, has released four new releases.

In 2016, Pawel Dunako founded the outlines label, which specializes in releasing tapes in groove series. Invited artists create footwork hybrids subordinated to specific form requirements. In 2020, Dunajko launched an offshoot of outlines, guides, which releases tapes closer to the album formula.

In 2024, Resident Advisor published an extensive article on the history of the label and its beginnings.
