Given the labor organizing, press freedom lobbying, & the core principle of trying to speak truth to power, journalism is inherently political. "Neutrality" has been weaponized. Realized the place I took my cover photo is now a moonscape. Then I noticed that in some pics I took the night of the Eaton Fire, you can *see* arcing on power lines with the fire hurricane in the background. Firefighters BEGGED SoCalEd to de-energize lines all night, they did not. Unforgivable.

JPL getting evac orders before Ald-Calavares - which was already on fire by 11pm! - is just one example of the absolute failure to evacuate Altadena. Blood all over LA County's hands.
