By the way,
#SpiderNoir
is great fun. Lots of Nicolas Cage overacting, and a title song that could easily be the next Bond theme. (Couldn’t figure out how to make it work in black and white though)

‘It opened my eyes to the city’: the artist drawing every single pub in London
Lydia Wood began drawing the capital’s pubs after losing her job. Now, after her sketches went viral, she is on a mission to illustrate all the city’s watering holes – before some are closed

Some tough decisions for the Mexico game then. Stay up and push through, or get an early night and a few hours’ kip before kickoff? And caffeine or alcohol to get through it?

That’s an absolutely shocking bit of Names In Songs from Hawkins. The song’s literally called Kevin Carter, there’s no way you can mistake it for “Matthew”.

Stokes had better open the batting after he takes these last two wickets, otherwise he won’t have time to get to his double ton by tea tomorrow.

Jesus. Scenes at Faversham train station that can only be described as Hogarthian. Trains delayed left right and centre, pissheads returning from their day at the beach, and a load of middle aged people who’ve started early on the cans and are trying to make their way to The Streets’ gig in Margate.

Oh, to be an Ecuadorian tonight...What a magnificent game of football, and what a magnificent result. Raw emotion. This is why football must be saved from Fifa. It is too precious and too beautiful a thing to be left to them.

Apparently they talked about not relying on Enner Valencia. As someone who watched him play for West Ham, I can strongly recommend not relying on Enner Valencia.

In my day job I’m a member of the Capitalist Scum, just like the rest of us. Organised an offsite event. The venue we used had hardback books with the covers off as decoration. One of the books was John Peel’s “Margrave Of The Marshes”. It made me feel happy, and a bit superior. Is that ok?
