I'm actually being proactive today and doing things that need to be done instead of deciding "I'll just do those later" then forgetting about them and then spending days, weeks, months (😬) dreading the fact that I didn't do them already.

Anyone have a catio? I had the kittens outside in their carrier while I disinfected everything this week and they, of course, loved it. I'm thinking more fresh air and sun might help our ringworm problem but they need more room than the carrier.

Sunshine is doing better already! After some meds and fluids the biggest concern was her not eating but the anti-nausea and anti-emetic shots seem to have helped her over the hump. No kidney or liver issues. No terrible deadly virus. Could be just infection or infection and worms.

ALXnow: Alexandria unveils historic marker honoring Colored Rosemont community

The dedication of the Colored Rosemont was great. From the stories told it was such a vibrant community that was full of wonderful people. Learning how the city took the homes was heartbreaking.

After a visit to the VCA Beacon Hill Cat Hospital this morning with Sunshine for an infection I can say that I really liked them a lot. Much better than Del Ray. We've got more medications for our sick little kitty girl and I'm feeling more confident but still *heavy sigh*

My neighbor Stanley has been working tirelessly to honor the neighborhood he grew up in, where all his family and friends lived and which has largely been forgotten. I'm very excited for him and the neighborhood to see this sign go up.

Spent the morning as the co-op parent for the 3s and 4s classes. It's so fun to hang out with little kids. We made ball ramps and used blocks to launch them over frogs, explored colors, built a tall tower, read books, played with Play-Doh, and figured out the 3 min sand timer was 13 seconds off.

After buying two pairs of Nikes that she hated we finally found new shoes for the 8 year old. Her sensory issues make shoe buying such a chore but it's done. Incidentally, if anyone local wants a pair of hot pink and black high top Nikes, kids size 2y, hit me up. I can return the other pair.
