I've set all my alarms throughout the day to play my The Cars Spotify station so it's always fun to hear a different song blaring out of my phone at each alarm. It's an enjoyable little rock session that I sometimes leave on for the whole song. Am I on time though? Um, not really.

Edison HS is teaching students how to ride bikes today. They're all around Kingstowne and stopping at Chick-fil-A for lunch. I love that so many schools are doing this!

After going through one preschool graduation 4 years ago it made me choke up seeing all the little kids preparing for theirs today at school. I just want them to stay this little forever. And my kid still has one year left there! I'm a mess lol

Applied for (and got) a summer internship through UMD with NPS doing tree inventories and UFORE surveys in DC that I was not qualified for. It led to a job with Casey Trees doing the same thing the next summer and yadda yadda yadda I married a volunteer, moved to Italy, and have two kids.

Telling my 9 yo that her friend was almost hit by a driver while riding a bike with her mom was not fun but it could have been a much worse conversation. Keeping cyclists safe shouldn't require data points it should just require common sense. Those data points could be any of us and our kids.

They might cost more because someone went through and cut off the leafy tops but the repackaged strawberries at Giant are so much better than the ones I'd have to cut myself. I don't know why, I don't make the rules, I just enjoy the strawberries.

I've had recurring dreams for months about a major end of the year English assignment that I have put off and forgotten to do. I also dream that I don't know my class schedule. Last night the dream evolved and I learned I have a week to do the project and I had written down my schedule. The relief!
