Dinner tonight was Jamaican beef pies and fried plantains. The crust was a bit thick and some of the plantains were over-crispy, but overall it was well-received. The filling was tasty and the crust was still flaky and delicious. Learned a lot for next time. Next week: Aussie meat pies!

Moroccan dinner turned out pretty good. Chicken with olives and preserved lemon: deemed "really good" by the pickkiest eater). Khobz (round loaves): misshapen but delicious. Chaoored pepper & preserved lemon salad: made after dinner, made too much vinaigrette, but also good. I'm so proud!!

For no reason other than I saw a jar of preserved lemons at the store and I've always wanted to make them but never got around to it, and also I remembered the one time I've had them, at Disney World a hundred years ago, I bought them and decided abruptly to do a whole Moroccan menu for dinner. 1/2
