This is maybe the most niche thing ever, but I was introduced to the works of Sabin Bălașa by @deviinit.bsky.social the other day, and I Literally Can't Stop Thinking About This Design.

It's become a tradition of sorts that on new years eve, I just open a canvas and draw whatever comes to mind, so here's this I suppose

A little me lore: For the past nine years, it's been a little tradition of mine to try draw something out of my comfort zone on Halloween. I just started this year's pic now, but I have no idea if it's gonna come together at all, so for the time being, here's a couple of pics from previous years!

I've been really captivated by the Skate Story trailer that dropped the other day and it's had me thinking. I feel like there's such a fine art to this sort of thing; to pack something so enthralling in only a minute or two. I've been wondering, is there a trailer that you still think about?

Inspiration is so funny to me. This last month, I've had like zero motivation to draw, and then the other day, I misread a sign that says "Tour" as "Taur", and now I want to draw 500 taurs

Unfortunately, the used laptop fell through, so instead, I'll be doing plan B, which is just biting the bullet and setting up WSL on my tower (which I'll do after I upgrade to W11). I've got a busy next few months in front of me, so it might be a while, but I haven't forgotten about this!!!!

Maybe it's because they're designed around abstract nostalgia, but there's something I find so indescribably comforting and cozy about weirdcore stuff and I always wonder if the feeling is mutual. I'm legit addicted to those "weirdcore images with so-and-so soundtrack" vids

The random team button has spoken, I am officially team fossil on art fight! This admittedly changes my plans a bit, but I find it more satisfying to be on the team with less players (substantially less in the case wow), so I'll figure it out!

Oh god, I was gonna join team crystal on the basis that the majority of my bookmarked characters are all on team fossil, but they just revealed the team numbers and it turns out crystal already has like 20k+ extra players SDLKJFS I may be back to leaving it up to random chance again!

Since it came up recently, I should clarify that despite what it might look like, I am indeed planning on participating in art fight! I've just made a habit out of getting randomly assigned a team once the event starts. It feels more fun that way!

It honestly makes me so happy that even like a year and a half later, people are still finding the A.I.K.O. magazine ad. Despite how little I've drawn them, I still think about them a lot, and I have so many ideas for them that I absolutely do not have time to work on LOL

Despite just being some wings and a pair of eyes, AIKO are surprisingly expressive!

Figured I should mention since it came up this morning, but in case anyone's curious, I'll be getting a used computer at some point this summer that I plan on converting to a Linux box, and once I've got that set up, I'll finally be doing up a Linux build for Impart :)

Tangentially related: In an effort to get back into creative stuff, I've been working on Impart again! I might let it simmer for a second while I test it locally, but I'll probably do an update for it today or tomorrow with a few small features that I've added

I have no idea if this is shared feeling or if I'm just insane, but I've always had this like life long obsession with the idea of being watched from the rooftops

It's funny, once I got Impart to a usable state, I was worried it would be an absolute slog to tag my gallery. Instead, I ended up obsessively tagging it over the course of a week! It's shockingly therapeutic
