Walking back through the streets of London the smell of Cannabis in the air around Charing Cross railway station was overpowering..especially walking past the McDonalds on the Strand...poohie, rather pungent and powerful...

This afternoon we went to the Royal Opera House to see the ballet "The Nutcracker"..it was excellent...Then on to the the oldest restaurant in London.. "Rules" founded in 1798..The food was sublime.... Then finally back to the house early evening for bed..It has been a long day.

We had a lovely long walk today over at the woods in Beech village...We haven't walked here in over a year...Amber still knew the way we usually take..Walking ahead of me, she took each path from memory..We met an Airedale called Bentley and a lovely French Briard dog...It is always quiet here.

One household member has been working for the last four nights so the Christmas meal was postponed... This was the highlight of that meal..A homemade Christmas pudding aged for 15 months.. Spectacularly ignited with brandy..
