Didn’t take long to fill the new cold frame.

Busy day in the sun in Eastbourne breaking down some pallets left over from our patio refurb & turning into a cold frame. Only cost was 2 sheets of polycarbonate.

Beautiful morning in Eastbourne & the flowers have all come out along with a butterfly.

Asparagus harvest at its peak. Only 4 crowns but enough for 2 of us.

Communing with our rented cherry trees on blossom weekend. Cherries already forming on the Merchant variety whilst our new Regina tree at peak blossom & bee activity. Hog roast & choc cherry ice cream as well.

Spent the morning visiting all the chocolate box villages in the Cotswolds. Now in Great Malvern for a weekend of ballroom dancing.

The kiln gods have been kind so my pottery vase inspired by Mondrian’s friendship with Nicholson has survived intact. Made at Eastbourne Studio Pottery.

Flamboyant Cuttlefish in Anilao, Philippines, March 2025. The first was fully grown about 8cm & unusually hunting on the reef. The second was on a sandy slope & only 3cm but very feisty.

Electric, flame or disco clam Ctenoides ales. Only established in 2013 that they are not electric, (much to my disappointment) & it is not bioluminescence but reflective white tissue on outer edge of mantle. Filmed in March 2025, Anilao, Philippines.
