Pain is controlling my life, because it stops me sleeping properly. When I can't sleep I can't function as my pattern gets thrown off, and I'm too generally unwell to manage on too little sleep. However, under new NHS guidelines for pain management I just need to THINK POSITIVELY. #chronicpain

The irony is, I was on DLA (what's now PIP) before I was physically disabled by EDS. When I was "just" mentally ill. & it qualified me for the full whack, or did in 2005. By the time I reapplied in 2015, #mentalhealth was hardly mentioned. I worry greatly for the me's of today. #DisabilityBenefits

I can't really handle thinking about the possibility of benefit cuts to PIP. It's literally my only income, as under the current system my partner is assumed to be my "guardian" of sorts ergo his income counts as my income for means-tested benefits (which it isn't, of course). #benefitcuts
