Arguably, the Moon is the most important planet in most types of astrology. In the next HOROI Talk, “The Tales of the Moon,” I will cover the uses and historical development of lunar concepts and conditions. Due to the abundance of relevant material, this talk is split into two parts.

For fun, I asked ChatGPT to compile a list of celestial bodies — both within and beyond the Solar System — ranked by the gravitational influence they exert on Earth. The list is sorted in descending order using the base-10 logarithm of the maximum/minimum gravitational force.

The most substantial extant version of Dorotheus’s influential but largely lost astrological poem is the Arabic text known as “Carmen astrologicum.” But this version, apart from spurious additions, omits several sections and details of the genuine poem.
