Ah, what the heck. I'll give it a shot. If it gets that far, answering the artist questions will be... interesting because my art (photography) isn't one that's on many people's radar. That word usually seems to mean painting/drawing (traditional and digital).

Darn good thing I never throw anything away... The commission I'm working on is for a binding style I haven't done in some years. But I still have my screwed up first attempt from back then and have been referencing it while working up the mockup/practice piece for the commission.

Finally, finally got my bookbinding area set up last week... Sewed up five small notebooks as a test, ended up re-arranging a few things for comfort and improved workflow. Just in time, because I got a commission from a friend yesterday.

The joy of being a photographer in that so easily missed moment where everything is *perfect*.

Depending on how you count the 3 day stop in Rapid City, SD. Memphis TN to Bremerton WA, 4 days. Or Memphis to Rapid City (2 days) followed by Rapid City to Bremerton (2 days). The eleven hour (over night) road trip from Memphis to St Mary's GA to see a girl is a whole 'nother ball of wax.

PSA: Check your smoke and CO detector batteries! I've heard it recommended that when the clocks change you should check the batteries in your smoke and CO detectors. Changing the clocks sucks, yeah, but checking your batteries is still a good idea. (I also check my kitchen fire extinguisher.)
