Trying to go with the flow with my art right now…not focus too much on what’s “postable” and when to post something. Getting back in touch with that part of me that just wants to ✨CREATE✨ and make characters and stories, just for me or to show to my friends.

Mistakes are necessary to improve your art. If you avoid making mistakes(which often means not even trying), you avoid your growth. When you accept mistakes, they will point you towards what you need to study. Mistakes are not your enemy. They are your roadmap for learning.

I often have to remind myself that my art doesn’t have to be perfect. Sometimes you’ll hear “you have to do it this way or you won’t be taken seriously professionally.” Like what’s the point of art if you can’t express yourself genuinely?

Sometimes I forget I can just…draw for myself. So I was playing around with color a bit. Also had some ideas recently about a character…and maybe a story. We’ll see, but for now I like her, grouchy millennial woman 😌 Side note: I gave her my saggy pointy-ass b👀bs since I no longer need them.
