Contemplating doing a complete from-scratch playthrough of the whole Xenoblade Chronicles series on Switch 2, and streaming the entire thing. Tons of effort, but could be fun.

Completed phase 1 of 4 on my journey to trade up my Switch copies to Switch 2 Editions of all the Xenoblade games. My Xeno saga, if you will.

I wish there was a better way to spend My Nintendo platinum coins. I have around 4000 with 750 expiring at the end of this month. The physical rewards hardly ever appeal to me, and the shipping costs are ridiculous.

Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter is my first game completion of 2026 (I’ve been so bad about finishing games this year.) Fantastic game, the story meandered a bit, but the final chapter was great. Battle system was the star of the show all the way through. Can’t wait for 2nd Chapter in September.

Happy 1st bday to the Switch 2! For me, this has been the best launch window experience of my life. MKW, Cyberpunk, No Man’s Sky, DK Bananza, Silksong, Age of Imprisonment, Prime 4, Skyrim, Trails in the Sky, MIO, GameChat… so many great experiences already, and so much cool stuff on the way!🎉

The only Septempocalypse game I care about is Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter.

Dungeon crawling in Trails in the Sky this morning. Whenever I pick this game back up, I’m always confused why I put it down. Just an insanely fun battle system, topped with great music and slick animation.

I’ve seen Goonies 100 times, and somehow I only just noticed Sean Astin as Mikey calls Brand by his real name (Josh Brolin) in this scene. 😅

The only mainline Nintendo system I’ve never owned (with the exception of Virtual Boy, if that counts) and not to sound like a hater, but I don’t feel like I missed out on anything.

Definitely paid more than I ever would have imagined spending for concert tickets, but this is a bucket list event for my girlfriend and I, so it didn’t feel like too much. Got pretty decent seats too. Teenage Octo is mega excited.

I’m not normally big on TV, but I’m going to go out on a limb and call Widow’s Bay the best new show since Severance. Impeccable Stephen King vibes. As dryly funny as it is a creepy, slow descent into madness. Beautifully shot. Highly recommended.

I know the subgenre has been oversaturated, but MIO: Memories In Orbit should be on your radar if you dig metroidvania types. Wonderful sci-fi atmosphere, watercolor art style, and beautiful music. Really great progression and map system too.

Getting pretty stoked for Splatoon Raiders.

With the release of the Switch 2 Edition (free upgrade if you own the Switch version), this is a great reminder that Sayonara Wild Hearts is the best game you’ve never played. A musical, cycle chasing, rail shooting, sword-fighting, night drifting, colorful, heartbreaking love story.
