With that last post it made me realize I'm always questioning how to stylize my sona's hair.... If I try to make it more accurate to my bedhead-ass hair texture irl it looks EXTREMELY ugly in my opinion haha. I might have to make it look more simplified than that if I want it to look decent.

Dewdrop is a bit silly because in the past they were short. I didn't have an exact height but they were shorter than another OC of mine who was already meant to be a little bit shorter than human height (possibly). Now I'm leaning on a bigger and taller version; However YOU (reader) may be taller

Out of context this might sound overdramatic (for some given recent developments...) I realize I think I need to accept that I just do not fit into friend groups easily. It's not that I can't interact with them but it's that a lot of times it feels like I'm inserting myself into them-

Okay, while I have some concessions, I am admittedly actually fairly proud/happy with this drawing. JB has become a fav of mine to draw recently; I just think they're cute. I plan to draw them more, but their design isn't without a few hiccups.

Not to sound calculating, but I realized I've had some thoughts at times like, "I wonder if having such variation in my slime characters without being explicitly shapeshifting is weird." And maybe it is, but I am afforded the opportunity to tap into a few different types of body shape interests.

I'm gonna be working on taking better hints from when I talk to folks and adapting my conversations better based on my experiences with them. I think it will save me a world of trouble.

It is curious to me when I reflect on how I really do think it is the condition of marginalized peoples that puts us in tough corners that far more often than we'd like seems to encourage infighting. Sure, we won't always agree on everything as individuals, but it sucks.

There's something always hilarious to me about how a lot of writing information on the net is about novels, but most often references motion media like films/animation, etc.

Everytime I need to pull my sona back out and then I forget that at one point last year I dogged the FUCK out of it, I'm like: "Perhaps I treated you too harshly..."

I wonder when rule of cool has the ability to win over practicality in design...at least to get more than 50% of an audience on-board with the choice.

The one thing that's kinda been fucking me doing lineless art of translucent characters is trying to challenge myself to use as little lines as possible (I mean sure yeah it's in the name haha), but like also seriously though. Areas where I want definition are tricky given the style I'm doing.

I hate to be a contrarian but I still realized I am not a huge fan of the way a lot of (popular) fiction handles philosophical/emotional character development, personally. But it might not be every story's fault for that. Even if I like the story I find I sometimes am eh about that aspect (1/4)
