Who is the greatest side character ever written? I’d say Gollum. While a central character in The LoTR, Gollum at times provides guidance to the heroes. But more importantly he highlighted key strengths and weaknesses of Frodo and Sam. 🧵

I don’t mind a short prologue. Anything more than three or four pages usually gets a skim through or I find a summary of it somewhere. Now, if you’re feeling your mostBrandon Sanderson self and want to do a prelude and a prologue…I’d read it based on the boldness alone. You?
