As a journal editor, I encountered an AI-generated review report for the first time today. It is clear that it was fully AI-generated, and it is entirely useless. The lazy reviewer did not even change the format before submitting the review.

I read an article in Journal of Hydrology and am dumbfounded by errors. I cannot believe the reviewers and the editor didn't catch them. Recently I saw several dumbfounding errors in articles in highly-cited journals. They don't change the conclusions of the studies, but it's shame anyway.

I have fond memory of her and am saddened by the loss.
