This is a wonderful historical fiction dealing with the start of the golden age of piracy in the Caribbean. I really enjoyed looking up several of the historical names and places that were mentioned. The story itself is a bit cliche but still very engrossing. #Reading #Books

A different take on the humble stuffed pepper. Red Bell Peppers stuffed with a wild rice pilaf, peas, onions and Lite Life Chik'N. Topped with Daiya mozzarella. For the pilaf I used Better Than Bullion No Chicken, Chicken Broth, parsley, pepper and sage. A wonderful comfort food. #Vegan

This book had so much potential with its ambitious idea and plot, essentially a dark academy retelling of Dante's Inferno. However, the author's approach can be pretentious, turning sections into dry philosophical debates that overshadowed the plot at times. Still i gave it 3 stars. #books
